Agrisem BOSS no-till seed drill from NIK
The Agrisem BOSS no-till seed drill from NIK
Drawing on experience in conservation agriculture and direct discussions with farmers practicing no-till or minimum tillage, the French manufacturer Agrisem clearly identified the challenges in the field: hard-to-penetrate soil, rows that are difficult to close in wet conditions, blockages caused by crop residue, and a lack of precision in seeding depth.
Their answer to these problems is the BOSS no-till seed drill. Inspired by technology from Australia – a pioneer in the no-till field – and adapted to the requirements of European agriculture, the BOSS seed drill offers a decisive advantage: the dual-angle disc, specifically designed for high-precision direct seeding.

Dual-angle disc
The BOSS no-till seed drill stands out for its dual-angle disc, which offers the following advantages:
- Prevention of excessive soil compaction of the soil next to the row;
- Superior row closure, as the soil displaced by the discs falls back much more easily to cover the furrow;
- No unnecessary soil compaction behind the discs, thanks to the specific shape of the gauge wheel;
- Ideal row closure adjustment in any conditions, thanks to the ability to adjust the angle of the press wheel.
Disc + seed boot: the perfect combination for no-till seeding
The seed boot is protected behind the cutting disc and does not come into direct contact with the soil, thus preventing clogging. This design ensures excellent results even in difficult conditions with high moisture or mud.
The design is engineered so that the boot never touches the ground, with the only point of contact being the front of the disc. The rule is simple: the fewer components that touch the soil or mud, the lower the risk of clogging and the less downtime during operation.
Mud cleaning is performed by an active cleaner (side wheel). Furthermore, the concept of the BOSS drills allows for precise seeding directly along the same row lines as the previous corn crop.
The seed boot is mounted on a parallelogram system, and ground pressure is provided hydropneumatically. Connected to a sensor on the gauge wheel, the hydraulic system offers optimal control over both downforce and seeding depth.

Choose the most suitable configuration and working width based on your farm's needs
In the case of direct seeding drills BOSS, with working widths starting from 3 meters, available in both trailed and mounted versions. It is equipped with the same seeding sections as the larger seed drills in the series and can be fitted with a 50/50 split hopper (from 1600 to 3200 liters) and an optional third small hopper.
The trailed versions of the seed drill continue with working widths from 3 to 8 meters. To complete the BOSS range, the BIG BOSS model was designed with a width of 8 to 12 meters and is suitable for large areas. With its 4 optional hoppers and two rows of seeding sections, it can be used for direct wheat seeding without compromising working speed or efficiency, especially in the presence of large amounts of crop residue, with a row spacing of 20 or 25 cm.

Technical Specifications

Agrisem is an international company specialising in the manufacture of agricultural machinery for conservation tillage, such as minimum-till and no-till farming.
Founded in 1993 by a farmer, the company began with the creation of a machine capable of both tilling the soil and sowing in a single pass. This was essentially formed from two different machines created by other companies. In 1994, the company developed another machine, making the two units capable of sowing both cereals and row crops.
By 2012, Agrisem had launched several machines for conservation agriculture, and in that same year, the company was acquired by UNIA, another manufacturer specialising in agricultural machinery.
Eight years later, in 2020, Agrisem separated from UNIA and acquired Sly, a French company specialising in the production of machinery for conservation agriculture.
