XAG transforms the agricultural drone into a fully autonomous robot

XAG has just changed the game, transforming the agricultural drone into a fully autonomous robot

We are back from the XAG world premiere in Guangzhou, China, with news that literally rewrites the industry rulebook.

XAG proves once again that it is a pioneer in agricultural automation and, as always, sets the direction for technological development, being the first company to launch the next major innovation in agricultural drones.

The NIK team attended the XAG International Partner Conference and the presentation of the company's new products for 2026, where XAG demonstrated the new XAG X-Series flying agricultural robot in real-world conditions.

Forget everything you knew about agricultural drones. The big change isn't a larger tank, but the robotisation of the entire process.

For years, discussions about agricultural drones have focused on capacity, spray quality, hectares treated per hour, battery life, and reliability. All of these remain important.

But the next step is much more ambitious: can the drone carry out the entire task with minimal human intervention?

This is exactly what sets the new XAG X-Series apart – the world's first complete agricultural robot system, designed to work in full synchronisation and completely autonomously, saving precious time in the field.

How does it work in practice?

You set the mission and prepare the necessary products. The system handles everything else: it flies, sprays, returns, charges its battery, prepares the solution itself, self-cleans, and continues its work.

This is not just a new drone model! It is a fully automated workflow, from start to finish, thanks to three perfectly connected components:

X150 Ag Drone Robot – a new-generation flying agricultural robot, equipped with a highly intelligent computer vision system, 4D radar, and ultra-fast charging.

XA1 Airport – an autonomous field station that serves as a "home" for the robot and simultaneously functions as a local server and RTK station.

LM1 Smart Liquid Mixing System – an intelligent system that automatically doses and mixes products, then refuels the robot for its next flight.

The system's major technological innovation lies in its new-generation battery, specifically developed and patented by XAG and protected by over 300 patents. It allows for rapid charging in just 2–3 minutes.

The result?

Much simpler logistics and safer operations. A single operator can control an entire network of stations and robots deployed across the farm.

No more transporting batteries, no manual mixing of products, and no moving generators or trailers around the field!

The system takes over the most demanding, repetitive, and time-consuming preparation and maintenance tasks. The robot is self-servicing, covers very large areas, and the entire process can be managed directly from your phone.

XAG is the first drone manufacturer to introduce such a revolution in drone spraying, saving time, resources, and labour.

Expect this revolutionary system to arrive in Europe soon!

The question is no longer how fast a drone can fly, but how simple and efficient your field operations can become.

How quickly can your farm make the transition to full autonomy?
